Queen Margaret University

มหาวิทยาลัยควีนมาร์กาเร็ตก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 1875 ในฐานะ The Edinburgh School of Cookery and Domestic Economy ต่อมาได้เลื่อนสถานะเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยในปี 2007 ตั้งอยู่บนแคมปัสแห่งใหม่บริเวณ Musselburgh – East Lothian ซึ่งใช้เวลาเดินทางไม่นานจากใจกลางเมือง Edinburgh

มหาวิทยาลัยควีนมาร์กาเร็ตประกอบด้วย 3 schools ที่สำคัญ ได้แก่

1. School of Business, Enterprise and Management ที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญทางด้านการจัดการบริการ เช่น hospitality, events, tourism และ public management
2. School of Arts and Social Sciences มีคอร์สเรียนที่หลากหลาย เช่น media, film, public relations, psychology, drama and performance, costume design and production, cultural management, arts management, festival management, acting for stage and screen, social justice, and psychology and sociology
3. School of Health Sciences มีคอร์สเรียนทางสารวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ เช่น dietetics, nutrition and biological sciences; nursing; speech and language therapy, audiology, occupational therapy and art therapy; physiotherapy; podiatry; radiography; art psychotherapy, dance movement psychotherapy and music therapy คอร์สทางด้าน Speech and Hearing Sciences ของมหาวิทยาลัยได้รับรางวัล Queen’s Anniversary Prize สำหรับงานวิจัยเพื่อใช้ทางคลินิคด้าน speech technology ในปี 2002 ซึ่งเป็นผลงานของ Speech Science Research Centre
